Affiliate commissions are one way to earn from an audience. If you build a website or a page that receives regular visitors, advertising is another. This page explains how it works — nothing here is a recommendation to rush into it.

What Monetag is

How it works

Who it may suit

It may suit someone who already has a site with steady traffic and wants a second, smaller income stream alongside affiliate links. It does not suit someone with no audience yet — ad income scales with visitors, so with no visitors there is nothing to monetize. Focus on the free course and building traffic first.

  • Ad formats affect user experience. Aggressive formats can drive visitors away and hurt your affiliate results.
  • Earnings per visitor are usually small and vary widely by country and niche.
  • Read the network's rules on traffic sources, content types and payment terms.
  • Ads and affiliate content can compete for attention on the same page — test carefully.
  • No network can promise you an amount. Anyone who does is not being honest.
